Statistics: Russia’s wage arrears fall 3.5% to 771 mln rbl in Feb
MOSCOW, Mar 22 (PRIME) -- Russia’s wage arrears decreased by 3.5% in February to 770.6 million rubles as of March 1, the Federal State Statistics Service said on Wednesday.
The wage arrears accumulated in 2023 amounted to 125.9 million rubles, the arrears that emerged in 2022 amounted to 352.1 million rubles, and the arrears accumulated in 2021 and earlier to 292.6 million rubles.
The processing industry accounted for 34.7% of the debt, the education sector for 28.2%, construction for 7.9%, water dispatching and waste recycling for 7.3%, the agriculture and timber industries for 6.5%, mining for 6.2%, transport for 3.5%, real estate management for 2.6%, and electric power and gas provision for 1.8%, science and engineering for 1%.
